Hi lovies! School is just around the corner which means making sure you have everything ready to go at 7:15 am. Yikes. To make my morning as stress free as possible, I pack my bag the night before to ensure I don’t forget anything. Today, I’m going to share with you guys what I typically keep in my school bag because I think these are the things every girl needs on the daily or in case of emergency. At school, whenever my friends need something they don’t have they always come to me first because I think of every worst case scenario possible and keep something to solve that problem handy. Keep reading to find out my ultimate school bag contents!
1. Stain Stick/Shout wipes- From coffee on a new pair of jeans to sauce on a white shirt, I’ve spilled it all. Nothing is worse than walking around with a huge spot on your clothes all day! With a stain stick handy, you can get it out or at least treat it until you can get home so it doesn’t ruin that new top. I like the Tide-to-go sticks myself, but I’ve heard good things about the Shout wipes as well. Either way, this product will save your life!
2. Water bottle/tumbler with straw- I drink water all day at school. Using a cute bottle or cup will inspire you to drink more water throughout the day which will leave your skin thanking you. I bring a reusable water bottle every day and fill it between classes so I have something to sip on while taking notes. This helps keep my attention in class and I don’t get that sweaty end of day feeling. I love this one from Lilly Pulitzer!
3. Chapstick- this is one of those things I always find myself needing half way through the day and if I don’t get it, it’ll bother me all day. I keep an EOS ball in my bag to avoid annoying chapped lips. I like the EOS ball because it’s big so if I reach in my bag blindly, I can usually find it quick.
4. Agenda- I never kept an agenda until a year or two ago. I use it to write down homework assignments, rehearsal schedules, etc. It’s very helpful to be able to look at the whole week or month at a glance. I always write in pencil in case of mistakes or changes. I love my Lilly Pulitzer one (I just ordered a new one for senior year!) but there’s cheaper options at Target or Walmart.
5. Homework folder/binder- This is a life saver! Making sure all my homework is in one, accessable place makes it much easier to keep it all organized. I use a binder with dividers in order of my classes throughout the day so during study hall I can do my homework in order of what’s due first. Having a binder for all your homework is the the most helpful thing any high schooler can have. I usually buy a more sturdy or cute binder for my homework because it’s the most important! I would definitely recommend all high schoolers to have a homework binder. The cute ones pictured above are from Target!
6. Gum- Post-coffee/lunch breath is the worst! Popping a piece of gum after lunch makes me feel like a new person.
7. Perfume/deodorant- Going along with number 6, feeling smelly half way through the day sucks. Refreshing your perfume or deodorant half way through the day can make you feel fresh and worry-free until that last bell.
As far as bags go, I have the North Face Jester bag in grey and turquoise (pictured above). I don’t really like backpacks but this one has padded straps and a padded back so it doesn’t hurt my shoulders. It also has a great laptop pouch and a lot of room for books and such. I got mine at Journey’s, but you can also purchase it at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Sometimes I’ll switch over to one of my big purses like the Michael Kors one I talked about in my July Picks because I like fashion over function (although that tote is PERF for a school bag).
I hope this post helps you guys have the best school year! I know I’m very nervous going into senior year and something that helps with that is being organized. I’ve got some big stuff coming up that I can’t wait to share with you guys. If there’s any more back to school posts you want to see, comment below or on my Instagram! Much love ❤️
